Here's some character designs that I did up based on a project we did back in school. The idea was to create a Jekyll and Hyde, and then storyboard it.
The Premise of the story is that then main character Jekyll, is trying to make a formula to turn to enhance his ability so that he can become a better criminal. The thing is, once he takes the serum, it actually turn him into a hero of justice, and he performs actions of good unwillingly.
This image is Jekyll, the main character. I went with a steampunk feel for the project, and loved the idea of the hat spewing smoke.
This is his transformation, Master Hyde. His design is inspired by henshin heroes (Power Rangers, Viewtiful Joe). I felt making him taller allowed him to feel more powerful.
This family of characters known as the Von Trapps are a family of cops that constantly pursue Jekyll. Lily often hides in the church/laboratory where Jekyll resides, and is the first to witness him transformation.
